Fall is here–officially, at least–and this season, perhaps more than any other, seems to signal a time to get cracking. So cracking we will get!
I am embarking on yet another revision of my Regency-set historial on Monday, with hopes of making its characters’ motivations make more sense (the suggestion was also made to take out some of the sex, since there is lots of it, but I’m not doing that). I’m also going to make yet another (see the pattern?) effort to step up my gym-going, since I always feel better after I exercise, even without the ‘need to lose ten pounds’ incentive.
Fall is warm, cozy sweater time, the reintroduction of hot tea into the daily beverage intake, and root vegetables. Yay!
What is your favorite part about this season?
Pumpkin Spice Latte’s from Starbucks, wearing groovy sweaters, hot soup, Fall TV, no humidity.
The weather! Once it actually arrives in the South the weather is cool, but not cold and the skies are an incredible blue. It allows me time to get my yard bedded down for the winter.
Great chili eating weather too! And a great time to cuddle up in bed with the fur kids and watch a marathon of Cranford, North and South, Pride and Prejudice, etc.
Wishing you the best with the revisions and the exercise program, Megan!
I’m looking forward to apple picking, squash & pear soup and the upstate NY fall foliage. 🙂
Potato soup!! And stepping outside without melting into a puddle…
I love the cool, crisp air and being able to change out of summer clothes to winter ones.
I love the way sunlight slants this time of year, creating long shadows and golden beams.
And everything everyone else said, plus chocolate chip cookies! My daughter & I have a pact to bake some on the very first cold/rainy day.
This is my very favorite time of year! Warm drinks, “real” clothes after months of shorts and flip flops, plus Halloween coming up. Yay!
Treading on acorns, not having to shave my legs, and winter squash.
