I am so excited! This weekend I will be headed down to Fort Worth, TX for the JASNA (Jane Austen Society of North America)’s AGM. I have wanted to go to this for many years, but the timing was never right until now. I get to wear my new Regency gown, listen to some great workshops, and best of all room with Risky Janet. Look for more info here next week…
Since I’m trying frantically to pack and also finish this chapter on the WIP, I am turning today’s post over to you–what was the first Austen you ever read?? What is your favorite? Which one do you feel like reading right now?
Have a great time and take lots of pictures/notes so you can share next week!
My first Jane Austen was P&P and it takes turns being my favorite with with Persuasion.
I hope you have a great time. I hate to admit that I have never read more than a few excerpts from Jane Austen’s books. I would like to read PERSUASION and PRIDE AND PREJUDICE to see how the movies compare to them.
Yep, Amanda and I will be lacing each other up. I’m traveling on Thursday but I’ll have pics (I hope) of my new corset and stuff, and if I don’t that means I’ll be dancing in drag. Or something.
Have a WONDERFUL time!!!! Both of you! Say hi to my friend Vicky Hinshaw.
My first Austen was Pride and Prejudice, but my favorite is Persuasion.
My first Jane Austen was P&P, my favourite is Persuasion, that letter.*sigh*
My least favourite is Mansfield Park so I’d happily read any of Austen’s books but that right now.
